waaaaaaaaaaa! psych culminating activity was a disaster!
we ran out of time. out of 4 games that we've prepared only 2 games were played.
the cd that we burned didn't play.
the hosts of the programme fought.
blah.
but nevertheless, i guess everyone enjoyed. i'll miss the patients.
one patient cried because she'll miss us. aaaaaaw. see, even mentally ill people cannot handle goodbyes. i think it is difficult on their part because they feel comfortable being with us and all of a sudden we leave them. :'(
this is sad.
goodbyes are the reason why i don't really attach myself to people. i hate hate hate goodbyes.
being there for one week (or more), i can say that i've come to conquer my fear. at first i thought they'd be sooo scary and wild. but they were not. they're just like the sane people. there are just times that they'll look indifferent. they are even functional. mas makasabot pa siguro sila kay sa nako. gahi bya kaayo kog ulo. hehehe
I think the freedom inside the mental hospital that Zedka* said may mean about their freedom from the unjust judgment of the society on mental illness. we know for a fact that mental illness has a social stigma, especially in our country. Freedom in the sense that they are in their own little world where no one could harm them and their privacy is respected. Where they are treated as a dignified citizen.
I am proud of you, dear patients for teaching me a lesson i won't know elsewhere. Thank you!
