this is the new unfinished public market, to the left (not seen in the pic) is the jeepney terminal.
After 2 or 3 years, i went back to surigao. i was surprised cos the lot across my grandma's house is way different. at least, something has changed. it was a market and a jeepney terminal, now it still is but the public market is still under construction so it looks like an open gym. HAHA it felt good to see something change cos i've been to that province since i was a kid and i never saw any changes--the road, infrastructure or whatever, the place has been preserved. HAHA

We arrived at San Miguel (that's the name of the town where my mother grew up) at around 3 PM or 4. then we headed straight to Busay (pic 5). Had a 5 minute dip on the falls. And guess what?! i jumped from somewhere near the falls. It was scary. I was scared, i admit it. It was hard for me to jump off from where i was standing because from up there i could see how high it was (it wasn't really high but for me it was). I had negative thoughts. What if i would drown or hit the rocks really hard. I guess, letting go is the hardest part. It takes a loooot of courage. And i appreciate those people who let go of something valuable to them. Geez.

The next day was the birthday celebration of my grandma. We celebrated it earlier because if the celebration will be on her real birthday we couldn't join cos classes will start by then. So there. 9 AM was the Eucharistic Celebration. Uncle Raul celebrated it and my cousins read and sang the First Reading and Responsorial Psalm respectively. hehehe. Picture taking afterwards. In the afternoon was the party! i'll upload the pics on another entry. Along with the poem we read to granny which brought her to tears, by the way.On the second thought, I WAS AMAZED, AWED and MESMERIZED by the beauty of surigao.
PS
HAPPY BIRTHDAY PHILIPPINES!!
